Piston ring helps perform incredible combustion and reduced oil consumption in the engines. To ensure high-quality and best performance, we offer a complete range of piston rings manufactured of Grey Cast Iron, Alloyed Cast iron, Spheroidal Graphite Iron and High Strength Steel.
NUMBER OF PISTON RINGS:
In order to reduce the frictional work, increase the mechanical efficiency, reduce the height of the ring zone and shorten the compression height and total height of the piston, the number of piston rings is decreasing. From the 5-6 ring groove in the 1930s to the 2~3 ring groove.
It has been found that it is not necessary to have more than one compression ring, because once the upper compression ring fails, the other compression ring can not seal the gas of the combustion chamber so that it does not leak into the crankbox, nor can it control the oil to squat up the cylinder wall.
